Once we are enjoying our sacred soul purpose, and flowing with Life, we can still get triggered unexpectedly. So how do we bounce back?
As an author and indie publisher with big hairy goals to manifest, soul alignment is non-negotiable. In fact, any spiritual entrepreneur knows how important their frequency is.
Yet, we are also human and Life can disrupt and trigger us into low-vibration emotions like fear, self-doubt, guilt, and shame.
Often this can throw us into the depths of depression and despair that is a spiritual awakening and catalyst for our soul purpose when we get to the other side.
These are the stories of the co-authors enrolled in the multi-author bestselling book, Divine Rebirth.
Once we are enjoying our sacred soul purpose, and flowing with Life, we can still get triggered unexpectedly.
So how do we bounce back?
I deliberately raise my energy vibration frequency to align with my true Self. Our energy field, aka mind-body state, interacts with the Law of Attraction that brings to us experiences that match our vibration. I like operating at a high frequency because it not only feels good, it sets my point of attraction. So, I become a magnet for attracting more good into my life, including my desires.
Awareness of how I feel is paramount, otherwise it wouldn’t even cross my mind that I need to change my thinking. The more I become aware of how I feel, the more I am alert to my vibration dropping, and choose to shift my frequency by changing my thinking.
You see, we have about 60000 thoughts per day of which 95% is unconscious, meaning we have a small window to practice awareness and become conscious of how and what we think and feel.
As Carl Jung said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will rule your life and you will call it fate."
The outcome for me is to cultivate a default State Of Being that is in alignment with my True Self. It’s a practice of entraining my thoughts, feelings, language, and actions to a higher frequency.
If the first step is self-awareness, the second step is to take ownership of my vibration. When we take ownership of anything, we take care of it, right? We nurture it, look after it, protect it, and do our best to make sure it becomes better and better. We create a relationship that is mutually beneficial.
Whether ownership means we want a plant to grow luscious leaves, or a puppy to become house-trained and well-behaved, it also applies to our relationships with others. Most importantly, it applies to the relationship we have with ourselves.
Taking ownership of my vibration means taking ownership of my thoughts, emotions, words, and actions. Blaming someone else for how I think, feel, speak, and behave, means I am in victim mode. Nobody can make you think, feel, say, or do anything. It all comes from us.
Having said that, these next realizations were a light-bulb moment for me. You ARE NOT your thoughts or emotions. You HAVE thoughts and emotions. The thoughts and emotions you have are not real, they are assumptions you have about a context or situation. We all have habitual default thought and emotion patterns that we adopted from childhood, that do not necessarily serve us.
When the penny dropped I didn’t have to believe everything I thought and that when I experience emotion in my body doesn’t mean it’s true, I felt so free.
The game to live in a vibrational reality where I feel great was on! Here are 7 ways I use to deliberately sustain my frequency and shift it when it drops.
1. Change the Meaning
When I feel a low-vibration emotion, I stop and ask myself, “What am I thinking?” As I become aware of the false assumptions that do not serve me, I change them. I contemplate the situation with curiosity and come up with as many different meanings as I can. Even wacky ones that I laugh at. It breaks the default pattern of thought. It also expands my consciousness.
Then I rehearse the situation and try on the meanings I prefer and notice how I feel. You need to do this until it becomes your default.
2. Gratitude Attitude
I have a gratitude journal and I daily contemplate and write down 10 things I am grateful for. Then I read over them again, feel the gratitude in my body and say, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Things like being grateful for having great coffee, my well-being, my new laptop, or a new client are enough to feel the gratitude in my heart.
The list includes desires that are not manifest yet. Giving thanks implies that you believe what you want and imagine is yours, is on its way. Gratitude is known as the emotion and vibration of receivership.
Feeling gratitude creates awareness of how much we have to be grateful for. For example, to have a home, a job, a vocation, running water, a hot shower, a bed, and of course our health, love, and possibilities. The list is endless.
When I feel disconnected, I look at my gratitude list. This connects me to my heart and shifts my vibration immediately.
3. Feel Good Detective
I nurture my vibration by looking for reasons to feel good.
Noticing beauty is food for my soul. Appreciation is one of the highest vibrations.
Listening to music that makes me feel good and inspires me.
Feeding my mind with inspirational messages, instead of the news, keeps me in a high-vibe state.
Doing something creative, like writing, or painting, relaxes my nervous system so that I can hear messages from my Higher Self.
4. Assume the Best-Case Scenario
We have been conditioned to assume worst-case scenarios that cause stress hormones to run rampant in the body and make us sick. Stress is the underlying cause of all diseases, and the irony is that we become addicted to these stress hormones.
I train my brain to ask what is the best-case scenario. What if the opposite happens? What would that look like and feel like?
Optimism is awesome and worth practicing.
5. Focus on my Vision
At any time, we are either in our victim-mode or creator-mode. Victim mode is where we buy into the false assumptions of not being good enough, being unworthy and undeserving, or not being seen by the Universe.
Other behaviours that trigger victim mode are comparing ourselves with others, competing, complaining, criticising, and condemning people for having what we want.
When this happens, I know by now that the underlying self-doubt will lead to self-sabotage and I shift to focus on my vision. I ask myself, “What do I want?” to interrupt the victim-mode and visualise my desired outcome. I speak aloud what I love about my vision manifesting.
Remember, emotion is the first manifestation. Be vigilant not to dwell in low-vibration emotions.
I have a list of previous wins and when in doubt, I look at this list that confirms all the successes I have already created.
6. Empowering Self-Talk
How we see ourselves is the driver behind every aspect of our lives. You need to see yourself as the one who already has what you desire.
Ask yourself, “If I have what I want, how will I feel? What will I say?”
What would you call this mind-body state? I call my True-Self-State Sparkles.
That means to talk FROM that mind-body state to yourself. It means stepping into and BECOME your True Self, and communicating from there to yourself and others.
I say to myself, “I am whole. I am complete. I am worthy. I let go and surrender to infinite possibilities of the Unknown.”
I also talk to myself in the mirror, making declarations with gratitude, thereby speaking what I want into existence.
Remember, words have power. Words create.
7. Live in the Present Moment
The moment I feel my vibration drop, I know I am not present. I know that I am either focused on the past or the future.
That for me is a trigger to take a deep breath into my belly, smile to calm my nervous system, and connect to my heart. I continue to focus on my breath and smile until I solidly feel present.
Conclusion
Having experienced a spiritual awakening and rebirth, we have more respect for the power of our vibrational frequency.
Alignment is a practice. The old paradigm's default thought patterns are like highways in our brains. It takes dedication and discipline to create neural pathways of who we want to be and the life we desire to live.
