I was shocked to discover that I was blocking prosperity in my business without even realizing it. Here’s what happened…
I’m doing a yearlong Gene Keys retreat, and last week we held the closing ceremony for the Activation Sequence. People were invited to share their experiences. As I listened, I realized how far I’ve come in shifting toward the gift frequencies of my shadows.
When I started this inner work, I was living within my shadow frequencies. It’s like a fish not knowing it’s in water. I had glimpses of the other side during my Quantum Human Design Transformation Coach Certification.
The Gene Keys and Human Design offer an energetic blueprint derived from the date, time, and place of one’s birth. These blueprints draw on Western and Eastern Astrology, the Hindu Chakra system, the Chinese I’Ching, and Quantum Physics.
Gene Keys are based on Human Design. The Activation Sequence of the Gene Keys is the Incarnation Cross of Human Design. The Gene Keys archetypes are frequencies encoded in our DNA. Each key has a shadow, a gift, and a siddhi frequency.
With the Gene Keys, I dove deeper by exploring the behaviors of the different frequencies. I also realized that the specific Gene Keys of my Activation Sequence were universal, meaning that my shadow keys mirrored the other Gene Keys. That showed me that identification with the ego-mind is the root of all our shadows.
This is the cause of:
In other words, attachment to the outcomes and agendas of the ego-mind.
Attachment
Attachment to how things should be means we resist when they are not that way. We react, we complain and blame. This is about trying to control Life.
How futile!
Attachment stems from the fear of not getting what we want. The flip side of attachment is aversion, the fear of getting what we want. Both stem from false assumptions.
It means you take the external reality as your truth. It also means you are using your mind to try to figure things out, to control the results, and to control and manipulate people.
Anyone who has tried to control anything also knows that it backfires. Somehow, something unexpected shows up that was not supposed to happen.
The thing is, we cannot create anything new from a low vibration. Instead, we recreate the same reality over and over again. Because the ego-mind can only reference the past, the known, it can only perpetuate the same reality.
Operating at a low vibration frequency not only blocks our spiritual prosperity but also blocks our health, relationships, and soul’s evolution.
Addicted to the Drama of the Ego-mind
When we identify with the mind, we become familiar with the drama it creates. We become familiar with suffering and struggle. We know it well. It is part of our vibration and what we attract. It’s who we think we are. We become addicted to the drama.
Experiencing the drama of month-ends was very familiar to me. Usually, I was already projecting the same scenario from one month-end to the next. In week one, I was relieved to have somehow survived. In week two, I started projecting that I would not have sufficient funds to cover the coming month-end. By week three, my stress levels were sky-high. Then I lived through the drama in week 4, survived, and started the cycle over again.
We become addicted to the stress-related emotions and hormones. Our bodies become addicted to the adrenaline, cortisol, and testosterone surging through our cells. It’s like a drug that makes us feel we exist.
We live this because we don’t know better. We only know how to survive. We are unfamiliar with thriving, with abundance, with paying all our bills and having a surplus to enjoy. And the job of the subconscious mind (ego) is to protect us by keeping things familiar, even if that means misery.
9 Signs you are blocking prosperity without realizing it.
Be aware when you experience any of these behaviors, as they are signs that you are operating at a low frequency and blocking your prosperity. Look at this without judgment; it’s just awareness.
Universal Fears
In Gregg Braden’s book, The Divine Matrix, he discusses the 3 Universal Fears:
All of us have experienced trauma to some extent as children, even if only from the perspective of being a child, which left us feeling unsafe. Because of these traumatic experiences, we fear losing control. We believe that if we can control everything and everyone, we will be safe.
So, we overcompensate by making sure that everybody is included if we were not as children. We seek external validation and approval if we experienced rejection as a child. We believe we are not good enough and not worthy if we were told that, or, more subtly, that we were too much, too loud, too much of a attention-seeker, or too whatever. We believe we cannot be loved for who we are.
Then we started to control the environment, making sure everyone was happy and not upsetting anyone. We started to please others at the cost of ourselves.
Just note that there is no such thing as perfect parenting. This is all part of the human journey to rise above these fears, surrender to love, and follow our hearts instead of our minds.
The ego-mind, formed to devise strategies to protect us against others and to help us survive over others, becomes the go-to authority. We become identified with the mind instead of the heart, the soul.
Being identified with the ego mind perpetuates the 3 Universal Fears in some form, keeping us in survival mode.
Identifying with the mind leads us to force outcomes, be impatient, fear missing out, want to get ahead of the pack, compare and compete, and believe there is not enough. We don’t trust that we are taken care of by the Universe.
This consciousness of lack is fear-based and rooted in a low vibration. Therefore, the frequency of lack is not aligned with the Source Energy of Prosperity.
How do we shift from this low vibration to align with the frequency of prosperity, well-being, and healthy relationships?
We shift this by practicing energetic alignment with our True Self. The ego paradigm resembles highways in our brains and is our default thinking - the default meanings we hold about ourselves, what is possible, what is not possible, and others.
Neuroplasticity shows that when we practice new thought and emotion patterns, we create new neural networks in the brain. These networks need to be nurtured to become strong. The more we practice energetic alignment, the stronger these networks become, and the old ones are pruned automatically.
Self-awareness is key. Becoming aware of how we feel tells us what we think and gives us the opportunity to change our thinking, thereby raising our frequency.
Defining who we want to be and how we want to be is helpful for creating concrete evidence and guidance.
This is an ongoing journey to upgrade our identity by cultivating a prosperity mindset and a thriving attitude.
It’s a sacred practice of being and becoming. It’s also the sacred practice of letting go and trusting in our worth and Divinity.
