The Power of Being Present

The Gateway to your Heart and Inner Being

My son gave me Audible credits for my birthday and insisted that I listen to Eckhart Tolle’s The Power Of Now. I read this book many years ago, but listening to it now, I realized that I wasn’t ready to absorb this powerful message then.

The irony is that my Life’s Work Gene Key, 20, is about being present. Actually, it seems that the Gene Keys of my Activation Sequence are universal. What I mean is that some of the spiritual entrepreneurs I work with to become bestselling authors and manifest their dream goals through soul alignment have similar patterns that prevent them from achieving their dream goals.

These patterns include being dominated by their minds, the fear of losing control, and not trusting in the Creator to support them. The result is that they think, feel, speak, and act as victims of their minds and often are totally unaware of it.

That’s why mind-patterns like the impostor syndrome are so destructive because the emotions of doubt and disappointment create havoc in your mental, emotional and physical body.

When we have these thought and behaviour patterns, we either live in the past or the future, because in the present there is no mind.

When the ego-mind dominates you, your life is a problem to be solved. You experience low vibration emotions of stress. When you are afraid of the future, you have anxiety as you worry about not having what you want. When you experience guilt, regret and resentment, you dwell on things that happened in the past.

We cannot create anything that we desire from these low-vibration frequencies. All that happens is the past perpetuating itself over and over again.

My biggest downfall is doubt and its cousin, impatience. I have a wonderful meditation visualizing my dreams, feeling the gratitude and satisfaction of having them. Then I allow my ego-mind to point out that nothing has changed in my outer reality yet, and the doubt sets in. If I don’t shift back to the present immediately, I fall into a mind-pattern of thinking that I won’t get what I want on time, spiralling into the fearful consequences of lack.

The killer ingredient is time. The ego-mind needs time to create a problem. That’s why the problems that create our suffering are always about the past or the future.

The greatest lesson this taught me is how unconscious I am, and I know I am not alone. The more we are not present, the less consciousness we can allow into our being.

Probably the biggest false idea we have been conditioned to believe is that salvation happens in the future. That we will have a better life, a more successful business, the ideal partner, more money, better health.

To test if this is true for you, have you ever used the phrase, If…, then…, or when…, then… If I get this contract, then my money troubles will be over. When I have a partner, I’ll be complete.

The thing is, nothing happens outside the now. Everything that happened in the past, happened in the now. Everything that will happen in the future will happen in the now.

So, why do we focus so much on the past and future? We do that because we are habitually identifying with the ego mind. It’s a habit of being asleep, of being in a hypnotic state induced by the ego mind, spinning around and around the same circumstances, patterns, people, places, things.

As Tolle says, “We don’t have life problems, we have life situations.” And because the ego-mind is very strategic in having you believe that you have a problem, and that it has the strategy to solve it, we stay trapped in the paradigm.

The ego mind cannot solve a problem because it is the problem. Einstein said, “You cannot solve a problem with the same level of mind that you created it.”

There is no past and no future, all realities exist in the present moment. Our outer lives are holograms of our inner world. Nothing is real, it’s all an illusion. The only truth is Presence. Your ego mind is tricking you into believing that the external reality is real and using it to disconnect you from your Inner Being.

Being Present

The solution to escape the ego mind is to be present in the eternal now-moment.

You may ask, besides escaping the low-frequency chattering of the ego mind, what is the power of being present? What would it give me?

Inner Peace

Since I have been practicing living in the present, I enjoy an underlying feeling of calm and inner peace.

My self-awareness and consciousness have expanded; I now observe my ego mind more and more without getting caught up in the drama.

As you become more present, you will find that you react less to situations, and that you see them for what they are, life situations, instead of problems.

This change of perspective is extremely empowering, because without the ego mind making every situation into a worst-case scenario, there’s nothing to worry about.

Surrender

Taking the ego mind out of the equation, life situations are taken care of, and getting resolved without my interference. Decisions are made effortlessly.

Inner peace creates space for your intuition to become stronger and clarity to bubble up. It becomes easier to surrender and stop resisting what is.

Accepting what is without reacting to the external world is true freedom.

Raised Frequency

Every time you tune into the now, you raise your frequency. Every time you connect to your heart being present, you raise your frequency.

Every time you observe your ego mind serving you with doubt, fear, and lack, and you don’t react to it, you maintain your frequency. When you then shift your attention to your vision being present, you raise your frequency. Every time you practice this, being in the present becomes easier.

Unknown

We have been conditioned to fear the Unknown. We have been conditioned to fear uncertainty and only be comfortable with the known. The known is the past, and the playing field of the ego mind.

The Unknown is the Quantum Field of Infinite Possibilities and can only be accessed from the present.

Manifesting

Manifesting your desires accelerates when you connect to your heart, feeling the fullness of life and then imagine already having your desire, giving thanks for receiving it. The emotions of the fullness of life and gratitude are the high frequencies of receivership.

When your frequency matches the vibration of your desired reality for more than 50% of the time, you raise your baseline frequency, meaning that you feel inner joy and inner peace and inner freedom. In other words, joy. More than that, your outer reality reflects your dream life.

That’s the Power of Being Present.
