Solo Author Program Terms of Purchase

Please read these terms carefully, as they are a binding legal contract, and we suggest downloading a copy from the program curriculum for your records.

You are purchasing the Solo Author Group Program, which includes writing, editing, formatting, full professional design, bestseller ranking on Amazon, and the rights to distribute your book as you choose.  

You are purchasing this in your business capacity and guaranteeing the purchase as an individual.  

These Terms of Purchase constitute the entire agreement between us. These Terms of Purchase supersede our prior discussions, emails, online or voice messages.

What happens after you pay:  
Our secure payment processor is Stripe. You’ll receive a receipt for your records shortly after purchase. Please allow 24-48 hours for communication from Dina Marais and Soul Purpose Publishing & Coaching regarding the program.
We reserve the right to delay communication if technical difficulties arise.  

Refunds: 
This service has a no-refund policy. By completing this purchase, I acknowledge and agree not to initiate a chargeback. If I initiate a chargeback, I will be charged an additional fee of $300 USD. I agree that failure to complete my book in time does not warrant a refund.  

Writing:
I understand that I have up to 6 months to write my book and up to 2 months to prepare my business and create a course while my book is being edited.

I understand that if I take longer than 6 months to write my book, then I will pay an additional $400 per month until I finish writing.

I understand that my manuscript is not to exceed 20000 words. If it does, I will pay the additional costs of editing and formatting.

Editing:
I understand that when my manuscript goes for editing, I am to make no more changes to the manuscript, except for the changes that the editor suggests.

I understand that any changes I make to the manuscript after it has been edited will require re-editing, and I will be responsible for the additional costs of editing.
 
Formatting:
I understand that when the manuscript has been edited to my satisfaction and sent to be formatted, no more changes are to be made, except for correcting mistakes that are identified.
 
I understand that after my manuscript has been formatted into the ebook version, I will have the opportunity and responsibility to proofread my manuscript and report any errors.
 
I understand that any changes to the book after it has been published will require a $500 fee.

Cover Design:
I understand that I will approve the final cover design for my book. I understand that the designer will create a cover design according to my preferences. I understand that the logo of Soul Purpose Publishing will appear on the back cover and spine of the book.

Pricing:
I understand that the book will be launched at $ 0.99 and, once the print copy is uploaded, the ebook price can be adjusted to what I choose. I understand that I can decide on the price for the print copy.
 
Publishing:
I am granting Dina Marais and Soul Purpose Publishing & Coaching the right to publish my book under my name and author page on Amazon.com

I understand that I will receive all royalties from sales of the Kindle or print versions of the book sold on Amazon.  

I understand that Dina Marais and Soul Purpose Publishing & Coaching are publishing my book with the understanding that it is my own original work and that it is my own responsibility to ensure my work is original and not infringing on others’ copyrights.  I understand that Dina Marais and Soul Purpose Publishing & Coaching will not be held responsible for any copyright violations arising from the publication of my chapter.  

I understand that no paperback copies are included in the program, but they can be purchased from Amazon at the cost price.
